10:30 AM to 1:30 PM

On Saturday June 25th, the Nanaimo RCMP will be hosting the 6th annual Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR), held in support of Special Olympics in Nanaimo and across British Columbia.

The event has increased in popularity every year and is a much anticipated event which brings together friends, family and supporters of law enforcement and Special Olympics.

The event begins and ends at Maffeo Sutton Park on Nanaimo's beautiful waterfront. The event is a fun 5 kilometre walk, run or stroll that meanders along Nanaimo's beautiful waterfront.

The run begins at 12 noon, with registration opening at 10:30 am. After the run, all participants will be treated to a BBQ of sumptuous burgers and dogs, cooked and served to perfection by RCMP officers, their families and Special Olympic volunteers. Last year the Nanaimo event raised more money than any other LETR event held in British Columbia.

Whether you run, walk or stroll it’s a family based fun event, meant to raise awareness and much needed funds for deserving Special Olympic athletes. The cost of the event is $20 and the BBQ is by donation.

You can register on the day of the event or go to http://ow.ly/ZGCE300pT89.

See you there!
