The day before Earth Day, Come Join Us for Nanaimo Underwater Clean-Up 2013

What: Nanaimo Underwater Clean-Up Committee is hosting the Underwater Clean-Up 2013. This is a not-for-profit, volunteer based event. We will be conducting a scuba diving event in which we clean-up garbage and other sunken objects found at the dive site, the Nanaimo Yacht Club. Volunteers above water will be removing, sorting and recycling the found materials.

We�ve received plenty of prizes for all volunteers and a free BBQ will be held to thank all for helping.

Who: Scuba Divers and non-diver from Nanaimo and Vancouver Island, we need many volunteers above the water for support. We are expecting approximately fifty to eighty participants, both divers and non-divers, volunteering their time to help clean up our harbour.

When: Sunday, April 21st 9am-3pm (Registration 9am-10am)

How: Show up between 9am and 10am to register. All volunteers are welcome. We are looking for divers and non-divers to help with this initiative. Please wear appropriate clothing and bring gloves and any equipment you think may help.
