Join us at the Harbourfront library as we celebrate National Aboriginal Day by hosting professional children's writer and story teller, Michael Kusugak.
Michael Kusugak shares stories of his childhood; travelling on the great expanse of sea ice on Hudson Bay, living in igloos and sod huts and the stories he heard every night, falling asleep in the flickering light of a qulliq a soapstone, seal oil lamp.
He also brings with him a collection of items that the audience can touch and try on such as a traditional Inuit drum and oil lamp, furs and traditional clothing.
This event is free and suitable for all ages.
