The North Island Concert Society is pleased to present Christine Tassan et les Imposteures, Gypsy jazz specialists from Quebec, at the Port Hardy Civic Centre on October 24.

On stage, they bear witness to four musicians who have mastered their talents. They improvise with ease, interpret their repertoire with dynamism, and blend their voices together in refined harmonies. But it’s their communicative energy and the personal bond between them that hits home the most. Christine Tassan et les Imposteures, are first and foremost four friends who have harnessed their energies and their voices to give rise to, year after year, the fruit of their creativity. Gypsy jazz specialists from Quebec, they have been touring Canada and the world for over 10 years to rave reviews, and are one of the first all-women quartets to have success in this genre.  From standards to original compositions, their arrangements innovate, rejuvenate, and excite audiences.  These four friends are fantastic and energetic musicians and give sparkling performances in several languages.
