Our Art Tour of New York revolves around very well-organized day excursions to the wide variety of museums and and galleries this dynamic and always surprising city has to offer. We are particularly excited this year to visit the expanded Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) with 47,000 additional square footage. Other highlights of this year's tour includes Gerhard Richter at the Met Breuer and the first retrospective of Donald Judd in 30 years at MoMA. We also visit such attractions as Central Park, the High Line, Rockfeller Center and the Chrysler Building as well as partake in walking tours of downtown architecture and a lower eastside alternative street art tour. Each day starts off with a complimentary breakfast in the hotel, a brief orientation meeting in lobby and then a walk to the adventure of the day. A big part of the tour is getting to know New York City by foot. New York is a photographer's dream, so be prepared to take lots of photos! That said, public transit and taxis are available as a welcome alternative to walking. Dinner is had at any of the many restaurants near the hotel which is very close to Hell's Kitchen (a restaurant mecca in New York). Tour participants meet up after dinner for entertainment of their choice such as Broadway plays, ballet, jazz and many more of the activities New York has going on including an open air night bus tour of the city. After this Art Tour of New York, all participants will feel confident to travel to New York on their own and be able to find their way around the city without any hesitation.
