Oktoberfest at Oaklands with Bucan Bucan

On Saturday October 3rd, Oaklands Community Association will host Oktoberfest in Oaklands with Bucan Bucan, raising money for a new playgroup for children with special needs and their families.
This one day festival celebrates all the favourite traditions of Munich & Bavaria, Germany- including beer, music, food, and community! Visitors 19 and older will dine on bratwurst, sauerkraut, potato salad and a pretzel prepared by Camosun College Hospitality Management Instructor Dave Pritchard and his team of volunteers. Entertainment will be provided by Eastern European party band Bučan Bučan and DJ Benny the Jett.
Hoyne Brewing Company, one of the head sponsors of the Oaklands Sunset Market, will be returning to provide a variety of their local craft beers and Merridale Cider will be served for the non-beer drinkers. We will also have a vegetarian option.
The new playgroup the OCA is raising funds for will be the only of its kind in Victoria. The group will be designed to provide a welcoming and safe space for children with special needs to enjoy and interact, for their caregivers to connect with each other in support of their mutual experience, and provide an opportunity to access information on topics of interest.
