Parents Information Evening on Career Planning for Youth

The Careers and Technical Center (CTC) is hosting an evening to share information on programs and services that are available to help youth (High School to young adult) transition from Secondary School to Post Secondary, Trades, or directly to the Workforce. We will also include information to support students that have left high school before graduating, or graduated, and have not found their fit. Presenters will include The CTC, VIU, Industrial Trades Authority (ITA), BC STEP, & Work BC. Topics include, How and when to prepare and apply to Post Secondary or Trades schools, How to access free tuition, What is a Trade and Apprenticeship, Youth Outreach, Labour Market Information, Free training certificates, and job search support
