David and his wife Jackie are local ultramarathon runners, international racers, and adventurers, as well as the founders of the popular blog DaveAndJackieRun www.daveandjackierun.wordpress.com, which documents their travels both in the Alberni Valley and around the world.  Last year, DaveAndJackieRun got more than 11,000 page views.  The evening will feature a slide show of their recent trip to Peru (where they got engaged on a mountaintop at 4200 m!), as well as a night of Peruvian festivities at Char’s:  Peruvian music and snacks, and also a feature cocktail - the pisco sour, which is Peru’s national drink (the Peruvian answer to Mexico’s margarita).  Admission for the evening is free - it will just be a fun and unique community event.
