Poetry for Change: Ideafest 2020 Poetry is a powerful vehicle for imagining, interrogating and transforming. Join UVic’s Social Movement Poets Collective for a participatory experience exploring how poetry engages with many of the big issues of our times: global warming, colonization, water crises, human-non-human disconnects, gender inequality, racism, poverty, education access. Participants are welcome to join in or just sit back as poetry is examined as a tool for helping us address the daunting issues of our time. This event features live music, a dynamic lineup of poets, and opportunities for participation. PERFORMERS 1. SPOKEN WORD POETS: K.P. Dennis, Jeremy Loveday 2.
