Portraits & Petals, a solo show by Arden Rose This 2 week exhibit showcases Arden's new work in impressionistic portraiture and florals. This is a must see show with lots of colour and large canvases of up to 40" x 60".

Her artist statement reflects the soul brought to the show and reads: I want my images to stir the soul; see the beauty in a face, wonder what experiences lay behind the presence we show the world. I’m sharing my soul with my art. I want to start a conversation. Is there a trace of you in a brush stroke? A thread of connection in the colour? If it whispers to you then we are connected.

Arden is a self taught artist, and is a member of Zebra Art Collective, Saanich Peninsula Arts & Crafts Council, Gage Gallery Collective, and Victoria Arts Council. Recent shows include the 2017 Art Now Show and "Boxers & Beauties" at the Gage Gallery. She's a regular at Opus and has done 3 artist demos there in the last year.
