Robert Wang is an emerging classical guitar virtuoso and composer based in Greater Vancouver. At 18 years old, he is a prizewinner of several internationally recognized competitions, including the Montreal International Guitar Festival Youth Competition in 2018, Boston Guitar Fest in 2016, and GTA (Qinling) International Guitar Festival Youth Competition in China in 2015. Robert has studied with top music pedagogues around the world.
Besides the evident musical talent, dedication, and mature artistic expression, what distinguishes Robert Wang is his never-ceasing love for all music and its language, love for classical guitar in particular, and continuous interest and curiosity for in-depth music exploration and composing for various instruments.
Not only is this concert a wonderful opportunity to witness a mind-blowing virtuosic musical program, it is a chance for us to support a young person of outstanding merit and encourage them to continue sharing their gift with the world.
