Salute to the Pioneers - Parade and Events for Canada Day

July 1 is Canada Day and events will be at City Hall, at Lake Trail School, all down 5th St., at the Courtenay and District Museum on 4th Street, at the Native Son’s Hall on Cliffe Avenue, in Simm’s Park, in Lewis Park, at the outdoor pool and at the Sid Williams Theatre!
Highlights:
7-11am Kinsmen's Pancake Breakfast in Simm’s Park. A great way to start your day. $6 will get you a delicious breakfast
10:30 THE GRANDE PARADE with honorary Parade Marshal Red Robinson.
Courtenay’s Canada Day Grande Parade starts at Lake Trail School and continues down 5th Street, the Parade Marshall, Edwin Greive, has all floats and individual entries in place on the streets leading onto 5th street, all entries will be contacted as to where they should assemble. The parade is about 2 hours long
1:30 pm Concerts begin at Simms Park
