Sid Fest is an annual event put on by Parkland Secondary School students, currently in its sixth year. Musical performers from Parklands Secondary School and Stellys Secondary School provide the audience with a wide genre of music including singer/songwriter, country, indie and rock.
Previous performers have included talented acts such as, The Archers; who were voted "BC'S Best Team Band."
Tickets for Sid Fest are only $10.00 and all money from ticket sales is given directly to the performers. They in turn donate all the ticket revenue to a charity of their choice.
Previous recipients have included Mustard Seed Food Bank and Cancer Research. The charity chosen in 2018 is the Youth Health Clinic in Sidney.
