Summer Art Workshop: Drawing, Painting and Clay Creations

Join Lori Sorensen at The Old School House Arts Center (TOSH) this summer for a creative and exploratory introduction to both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional artwork.

For ages 6 to 12

Morning classes will focus on drawing and painting. Principles of 2-dimensional design will be discussed and applied using various materials such as charcoal, pencil, pen, crayon and ink on many paper types. This includes watercolour painting with wax resist on paper and acrylic painting on canvas!

The afternoons will focus on 3-dimensional creations using clay. Properties of clay and principles of design will be investigated. Children will be encouraged to get creative and use their imagination! Clay pieces will be glazed and fired into a final finish (a $20 clay fee is included in the class price).

Children can attend MORNINGS from 9:30 to 12:00, AFTERNOONS from 1:00 to 3:30 or stay for the FULL DAYS from 9:30 to 3:30.

Those children who wish to stay the full days are expected to bring their own lunch to eat in the neighbouring playground with Lori at noon!

FIVE 2.5hour AFTERNOONS (clay creation): $85.00

FIVE 6hour FULL DAYS: $150.00
