Presenter bio: As a student of horticulture, pruning was always a hugely fascinating subject for Gordon. Fruit tree pruning scared (or should that be ‘scarred’?) him a lot, so much so that he rarely even made the first cut! It became a mission to find out more about it, a lot more. Through lots of trial and error (quite a few errors actually) and training the hand and eye, he has managed to learn the many facets of this particular pruning style.
Gordon was trained in the craft of horticulture at both the Threave School of Gardening (two years) and Pershore College of Horticuture (three years) and along with running his own pruning business and a small specialty nursery (Alba Plants), he is one of the instructors on the Camosun College Horticulture Technician Program.
