We are pleased to bring you the second ever installment of Sunday Screenings. These films align with our current exhibit The Chorus is Speaking and explore the multifaceted experiences and perspectives of the Black community on Turtle Island.
The Art of Autobiography is a feature length film directed by Dana Inkster that focuses on the phenomena of adoption and the highly individual experiences adoptees face. Each one has been faced with the gaps of filling their personal life story. Each one of them has delved into the art of autobiography.
Dana Inkster is an Alberta-based media artist and cultural producer. Her work experiments with the conventions of the documentary genre to reveal how storytelling. She is one of the eight artists featured in The Chorus is Speaking. The CRAG is showing two of her films Ladies of the Saturday Night and Breakdown #39 in the main gallery This night will also included a pre-recorded Q&A with Dana Inkster!
This event will be hosted online, all those who have registered will receive a zoom invitation to screen the films! See less
