14-time Grammy winner Jerry Douglas is to the Dobro (resonator guitar) what Jimi Hendrix was to the electric guitar by reinventing the instrument in countless ways. This forward-thinking artist incorporates elements of bluegrass, jazz, blues, rock and Celtic into his musical vision.
He is best known as a key member of Alison Krauss and Union Station since 1988. Douglas’ distinctive sound graces 1500+ albums, including discs released by Paul Simon, James Taylor, and Ray Charles. He recently received a Grammy Nomination for “Best Contemporary Instrumental Album.” A true pioneer in American Music.
