TWO EXPERTS ~ TWO OPINIONS Join us at Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum for an investigation into the history of an object. Vintage or antique? A very large three-dimensional needlework picture of the young Queen Victoria hangs in the restored 1865 dining room of Ross Bay Villa. Is this a genuine 19th Century embroidery or a 20th Century attempt at craft revival? Join battling conservators Simone Vogel-Horridge (paintings) and Colleen Wilson (textiles) as they carefully dismantle this curious artifact and search for the Truth Behind the Stitching. Wagers permitted. Half time refreshments included. October 20th, 1-3PM. Tickets are $15.00 and must be purchased in advance. Tickets can be purchased at https://tinyurl.com/y2a5nt8o or with cash at Ross Bay Villa on Saturday between 11:00 and 2:00 pm.
