Walter Price, played by Scott Murray, a "basic blue" individual is thrown out of work after 20 years with the same firm, During an anxiety-laden period of job hunting Walter attempts to find solace on a park bench. Here he is confronted by three engaging, provocative characters. Ellie, a high-spirited woman representing hope played by Diane LeBlanc; Haley, a distinguished hobo representing wisdom, played by George Marshall; and finally Lenore, a "lady of the evening" who represents reality, played by Mary Ann Kennedy.
MARCOTT PRODUCTIONS is a production company formed by Mary Ann Kennedy and Scott Murray to produce shows to raise money for worthwhile causes.
The Man with the Plastic Sandwich is being produced to raise money to help refurbish the heritage Church in Coombs, built in 1945. (beside the goats on the roof market)
The church wants to provide more outreach into the community and it needs to insulate the basement, renovate the kitchen, provide better wheel chair accessibility. The church has just recently become the central area for the distribution of Salvation Army boxes for the needy.
Mary Ann is president of Echo Players in Qualicum Beach. She and her husband, Scott Murray, are active members of this theatre group.
