Lyricism and song are the order of the day with standards by greats such as Kenny Wheeler, Dave Brubeck and Joe Henderson as well as some originals composed by saxophonist Monik Nordine. Monik is joined on piano by Brent Jarvis, and on bass by Bruce Meikle, this is jazz trio of highly accomplished artistry.

Monik is a West Coast saxophone player who has shared the stage with a multitude of great musicians such as Ian McDougall, Rob McConnell, Guido Basso, Michael Buble, Alan Matheson, Tommy Banks, Hugh Fraser, Brad Turner, Phil Nimmons and more. She has recorded on a number of albums, most recently with Jon Miller's project "3 Days in Winter", and holds degrees from McGill University and UBC as well as teaching at the Victoria Conservatory and Brentwood College.

Brent Jarvis is a Canadian jazz pianist and producer living in Victoria BC. Formally trained at the University of Toronto Brent has gone on to perform across Canada and the US. He has released five albums and is also active as a teacher, producer and recording engineer. Brent has taught piano, musicianship, ensemble, as well as conducted master classes at The Victoria Conservatory of Music, Vancouver Island University, and at his private teaching studio in Victoria.

Bruce Meikle first began playing the bass at age 9, and was inspired by Gary Karr, Ray Brown and Snoopy – although not necessarily in that order. Growing up in Vancouver, he divided his time between the Vancouver Youth Orchestra and playing jazz with friends. He continued his bass studies with Kenneth Friedman at the Vancouver Academy of Music and at UBC. After three summers with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, he completed his music degree at the University of Ottawa as a student of David Currie. After returning to the West Coast he joined the Victoria Symphony, where he still plays regularly with many groups such as the Victoria Jazz Orchestra. He and his wife are looked after by three Newfoundland dogs.
