Fifth Street is proud to present internationally-renowned vocal ensemble The Real Group to Victoria! With the generous support of the University of Victoria’s School of Music, these five world-class musicians will be performing at the Farquhar Auditorium as the only Canadian stop on their upcoming international tour.

The Real Group is one of the leading forces in the world of vocal music today, entertaining and inspiring international audiences using the voice as their sole instrument. Based out of Stockholm, Sweden, they have toured the globe for over 30 years with performances that include opening for the FIFA World Cup in South Korea, serenading the Emperor of Japan, and performing for The Royal Family in Sweden. Over the past three decades they’ve produced concert tours, TV programs, a cappella festivals, and 20 studio albums in their own name while supporting charities and establishing their own music education programs.

The day after their concert performance, The Real Group will be performing a public educational clinic with local a cappella quintet Fifth Street and the UVic Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Hosted in the David Lam Auditorium at UVic and open to the public as a master class, this clinic will showcase some of Victoria’s top vocal talent learning from the best the world has to offer. Fifth Street and UVic Vocal Jazz will also be featured as special performers at The Real Group’s concert the night prior.
