Think Tankers! Public Meeting with Dr. Riki Ott

Dr. Ott was one of the first people on the scene during the Exxon Valdez oil spill, and for 23 years, she has made the prevention and remediation of oil spills a major focus of her work. This has also involved her working with victims of the BP Horizon oil rig disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. Riki has devoted her life to justice for everyday people, their livelihood, and the environment.

Riki shares her personal story of the Exxon Valdez spill,weaving in the stories of accidental activists from the BP disaster, Enbridge spills, and more. Riki shows the devastating costs of our fossil fuel dependency and tells what ordinary people are doing to create more self-reliant, sustainable, and democratic communities.
