Understanding Financial Statements
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
As a board member you’re responsible for understanding their organization’s financial status. The annual financial statements are an important tool to support this understanding. Many board members are hesitant to admit they don’t fully understand what these statements mean and how to read them. This workshop will walk you through a complete set of year-end financial statements to guide you to a more robust understanding of your organization’s financial position. We’ll cover key reports, terminology, working with an accounting firm, types of engagements (audit versus review), key-note disclosure and ways to improve readability.
