Many esteemed artists have belonged to the Victoria Sketch Club since our founding in 1909, including Emily Carr, Ted Harrison, Samuel Maclure, Jack Shadbolt, Max Maynard and more.  Today's members continue the proud tradition with many highly educated and skilled artists producing works that have been admired and collected by many persons local and abroad. You will see paintings showing scenes of our local environment as well as pictures showing members' travels to many places, portraits, still life and abstracts. There will be children's art work on display as well as sketches by member artists. Our painters work in a variety of media. Throughout the show there will be painting demonstrations by member artists. Several paintings have been donated to be awarded as door prizes drawn from your completed ballots.
