The three books on which the course will focus are "No Great Mischief" by Alistair MacLeod (Class 1). "Year Of Wonders" by Geraldine Brooks (Class 2) and "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak (Class 3). Students familiar with other books by these authors are invited to make recommendations for further reading. If you have souvenirs relating to the setting of the three novels or the author's homeland (Scotland, England, Germany, Australia, Nova Scotia), please bring them to class to help promote discussion.
