If you're hearing something about "tintypes, wet plate", or "collodion"... but are not totally sure about what they are, or even if you do know what they are, and are curious to see more; here's your chance!

Come see why so many people are hooked on wet plate!

In this two hour demo, we'll give you a brief overview of the history of wet plate from it's beginnings in 1851 through to contemporary wet plate photography. We'll fill you in on the chems, cameras, lenses and lighting, and then we'll pour some plates so you can see the magic happen before your eyes.

Although we love to work on location with natural light, it is February after all, so the demo will take place in our studio using strobes so that we have predictable lighting conditions for both 4x5 and 8x10 plates.

Pre-registration is required. We will limit the number of people attending so, don't delay!
