World Fisheries Trust is proud to join thousands of other educational institutions, conservation organizations, and individuals in dozens of countries around the world to celebrate our shared ocean. World Oceans Day is an opportunity to celebrate our global ocean and strengthen our personal connection to the sea.
In celebration of this international day, World Fisheries Trust and the Township of Esquimalt are hosting a World Oceans Day event with interpretive walks, guided Songhees canoe tours of the Gorge, crafts, games, live music and food! Many other local organizations that share an interest in our ocean will be joining the celebration with informative displays and ocean-related activities for all ages.
