In support of the City of Nanaimo's Proclamation of World Oceans Day (June 8th), & Rivers to Ocean Week, (June 8-14th) ...which follows Canadian Environment Week, & precedes the Rio+20 UN Earth Summit for Sustainability and Stewardship ...MISSI & Take5 Magazine will hold two public events to celebrate the Nanaimo River and estuary, and our coastal ocean waters.
Doors open at 6pm; home-cooked dining begins at 6:30.
Please bring your favourite dish.
Special Guest, MLA Doug Routley will speak at 8pm, followed by MISSI's Slide Show on the Nanaimo River Estuary and Gabriola Coastal Waters. Q&As encouraged.
