Join the Royal Canadian Legion, Chemainus, Branch 191 to cheer on the "Wounded Warrior Run".
There will be soup and bun, tea & coffee . . . compliments of the Legion.

The runner will be coming down Chemainus Road from Ladysmith and continuing on to Duncan after a brief stop at the Legion -- if you are along the route, please take the opportunity to cheer him or her on!

About the Wounded Warrior Run
To provide increased financial support and public awareness for Wounded Warriors Canada, the �Wounded Warrior Run BC� (WWRBC) was created.

A team of dedicated runners will relay run the length of Vancouver Island for six consecutive days, starting Sunday, February 16th and finishing Friday, February 21st, 2014. The journey will begin in Port Hardy and end in Esquimalt, covering an excess of 600 km. Each athlete will run a total of 1 1/2 to 2 hours daily in a relay style, averaging 30-60 km each day.

Wounded Warriors Canada is extremely grateful for the support. We would like to thank Allan Kobayashi for his dedication and effort in making this event a reality.

Wounded Warriors Canada is a non-profit organization that helps Canadian Forces members who have been wounded or injured in their service to Canada. They help find therapeutic programs and solutions for military men and women in need. Currently, their primary focus is on mental health and, particularly, the staggering impact of PTSD and Operational Stress Injuries.
