XAVIER RUDD kicked off 2015 by unveiling his self-described “dream project”; a full-blown dub record. Fronting a band aptly named THE UNITED NATIONS, RUDD has assembled an international line-up of musicians from Australia, Africa, Samoa, Germany and New Guinea.
The resulting alchemy can heard on the album “Nanna” which has been garnering great reviews and is featured on the tour. XAVIER RUDD & THE UNITED NATIONS have just completed a sold-out tour of his native Australia.
The band is now on a world tour and this is their only stop on Vancouver Island. RUDD has long loved the West Coast, so it’s no surprise he wants to bring the band here. “I have such a great welcome, so much warmth and open arms extended to me. I’ve been touched by that, by BC. It’s changed a lot of my outlooks and helped me find a lot of peace,” he tells surfingvancouverisland.com.
